Some claim that the sector is over-regulated, while others agree that the standard of instruction is crucial for the maritime industry and that training for instructors should be properly specified and compulsory. Despite the variety of opinions on this subject, most agree that preparation for instructors can have a positive effect on making them better maritime teachers and assessors.

Engage with your audience: The lecture should be entertaining, important, brief, combined with other complementary practices of learning, and delivered with enthusiasm for the subject.
We should try to ensure that any piece of information is addressed while teaching, along with an explanation as to why it is important to students in their professional lives. Much of it would be disregarded as it is not obvious to trainees why they should care about the detail. Conveying the results, as their trainer, is only half the task. The other half is to make sure that they know WHY the data is important. Simple, but powerful.
Come up with new techniques of learning: Lecturing with the same old technique will be boring for people, they learn better with different techniques like exercise, practical approach and discussion through this it would be easy to understand and grab more Try to raise questions while teaching to encourage dialogue. Questions are an extra way to assess if the students are studying successfully. It involves the class and, frankly, for both the teacher and the students, it makes it a lot more interesting experience.
